The title of this entry "sailing" is meant to be a figurative image to allow your thoughts to feel and experience the written word in a physical way. Imagery is most often used in poetry and fictional stories hoping to bring the reader into your mindset and vision of the written scene. I want you to feel wind blowing beneath the sails, the sun beating down on the crystal clear blue waters of the Carribean, sailing swiftly across the ocean while feeling the peace envelop you and freeing the mind of all the clutter it collects throughout the day..............are you relaxed, and breathing slowly but deeply in through the nose and slowly exhale through the mouth? Continue this meditative, relaxing breathing technique until you are calm and focused. Now enjoy the message I wanted to share with you below and by all means send me your thoughts and comments.
I make it an unwritten rule to not allow others to be taken in by my emotional state for fear of bringing them down into the whirlwind; energies of one can change the masses with little effort or knowledge that its happening. Motivational speakers are an example of this by astounding their audience with positive words, imagery (as I illustrated above), hyped up excitement, audience participation and a commanding, domineering persona that does not allow anyone time to intercept the show and alter
the energy in the room....!!!
Sometimes though, I just get tired of trying so darn hard, hiding my real pain and stifling my emotions, and pretending that my life and self worth are the wind that allows the sailboat to soar! To be truly honest my boat is sitting on the shore, rotting away, watching others sail off happily, and mine is just fading into nonexistence...not the pretty picture we sometimes paint for others is it? The depiction in the opening paragraph is my dream, just add white sandy beaches and a fabulous book and you are at my perfect mindful destination.
Why do we fail to show the real us no matter the destructive path it may lead down? I ask because we want others to have empathy and understand what we go through each day in all situations yet we are being deceptive. To completely receive what we want from others we must paint an accurate portrayal of what we endure on a daily basis and give them our honest feelings. Then and only then can we hope for better understanding. This by no means will bring 100% positive outcomes from everyone you encounter. We are all human and all have faults and limited abilities.
I brought this topic up now because I need you, my dedicated readers, to understand that I am fully invested in this blog and will NOT ever hold back my true feelings, emotions, actions and reactions! What you will get is complete honesty about my life journey and I expect you to do the same. This is a partnership for without you and your input here my blog is just meaningless words thrown together, you bring your interpretation and feelings to it which in turn bring it to life!
Respect is the last word I need you to keep in mind. We all go through different life experiences so our opinions will vary, sometimes a little peep hole difference occurs because our limited view has altered our perception and we do not see the leather recliner in the corner and at other times it is as if solitary confinement is involved and the Grand Canyon becomes the most accurate depiction of how far wide and deep they need to travel to even get close to our view! So, I promise to have patience and respect for all who comment and honestly misunderstand without ignorance, racism, or harassment being apparent and expect all my readers to do the same.
Peace out readers!
P.S. Oh yeah, Part II of the previous blog post will be posted in the next few days. I need to be focused, aware and able to sit for a longer stretch because it is so very important to me that you get a true and thorough account of that eventful experience. So, thanks for your patience anonymous :-)!!!
Bible Quote: James 3
"He who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good life and his works in meekness of wisdom"
